Every easter, die hard off road rally fans converge to the heart of nsw to compete in one of this country’s few navigational races. the small country town of condobolin plays host to the condo 750 and as the name suggests, puts competitors through approximately 750km of varied terrain, with the aid of their trusty navigators and road books. Each year brings a new course and new challenges for auto, moto and quad competitors. This year, the much welcomed rain a few weeks prior to the event brought a new challenge….long grass. A HTS (Hard To See) turn can be tricky at the best of times, but cover it in long grass, and your in for a navigational nightmare. Large swarms of grasshoppers added to the threat of overheating from blocked radiators, so it was out with the fly screen!

An intercooler is a heat exchanger between the turbo and the intake manifold which is designed to remove heat from the intake charge that the turbo puts in whilst compressing the intake air. When air is compressed in a turbocharger the temperature increases dramatically causing the air to become less dense and oxygen rich which has a negative impact on the combustion process. By removing this heat with an intercooler you provide cooler denser air which improves the combustion process which has a direct impact to power output.

Located just 125 kilometers from Perth, the magnificent natural terrain of Mogumber played host to the 2010 West Oz Challenge. Designed to draw upon the best elements of the East Coast events, the West Oz combined winch challenge and cross country style stages to test the limits of the 19 teams which entered on the Anzac Day long weekend. Usually the domain of GQ and GU Patrols, the West Oz field encompassed a wide range of trucks including 75 and 80 Series Landcruisers, a Suzuki Sierra, Jeep Wrangler and the six strong Rovacraft Team made up of Rangies, a Disco and a SWB Defender. Which across the weekend, would all have an opportunity to star on the cleverly designed stages.

Named after a Patagonian mountain cat that is known for its agility and heartiness in harsh terrain, the Mitsubishi Pajero has certainly lived up to the reputation of its namesake.
Here in Australia it has an enviable reputation with Ralliart Pajeros winning numerous iconic Wynn's Safaris, and several Off-Road Racing titles being dominated by the Pajeros of Fabio Zafati and Geoff Pickering. Now the Pajero is again proving itself as a solid performer in the hands of experienced campaigners Steve Riley and John Doble.
